Andrew Blowers is Emeritus Professor of Social Sciences at the Open University
He is an expert on nuclear politics and policy and was a member of the first committee on radioactive waste management (CoRWM). He is currently Co-Chair of the DECC/NGO Nuclear Forum and is a member of the Government’s Community Representation Working Group (CRWG) which is looking at a process for democratic participation in the voluntary siting process for a deep disposal facility to store the nations nuclear wastes. He is the author/editor of many books, including the International Politics of Nuclear Waste, Nuclear Power in Crisis and Planning for a Sustainable Environment.
Barry Jones is Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the University of Reading. His nuclear interests lie in the issues are nuclear economics, nuclear security and safety and the effects of nuclear power stations on public health. He is the author/editor of many books, including The World Turned Upside Down?; globalisation and the future of the state. He is general editor of The Routledge Encyclopaedia of International Political Economy. He is a resident of Tollesbury.
